Stem Cell Instrumentation Foundry

Overview of Services

The Stem Cell Instrumentation Foundry (SCIF)is a set of core research facilities which (1) Cleanroom core for micro/nanofabrication, (2) flow cytometry and cell sorting core, (3)Histology and cell culture core

1) The clean room core houses instruments for nanofabrication. Listed below are the instruments and areas available.
-Photolithography (spin coater, mask aligner, work hood for development and drying)
-Sputtering
-FEI 800 Focused Ion Bean with deposition
-Atomic Layer Deposition
-ebeam
-Multiple work hoods

2) The cytometry core in the SCIF provides advanced flow cytometry and cell sorting instrumentation, operator assistance, training, and consultation. Instruments include:
-BD FACS Aria III cell sorter
-BD FACS Aria II cell sorter (SE1 153)
-Bio-Rad ZE5 analyzer (27 colors)
